針對日本愛知縣政府官網於106年4月25日公布「麻痺性貝毒檢查結果，其中幡豆海域之蛤蠣經檢出麻痺性貝毒超標」，愛知縣政府已要求業者限制出貨。根據愛知縣政府定期公布之麻痺性貝毒監測檢驗資訊，本次(4月25日)為2017年第一次發現之麻痺性貝毒超標(4.18 MU/g)案件，發生於幡豆海域。
食品藥物管理署(下稱食藥署)業已查證日方前次公布監測合格日(106年4月11日)後，未輸入愛知縣幡豆海域捕撈之貝類，並於食品藥物 消費者知識服務網(消知網http://consumer.fda.gov.tw/)發布食品消費紅綠燈為「綠燈」，但提醒消費者赴日旅遊應注意勿食用管制區貝類產品，並提醒業者注意國外警訊，避免輸入管制區產品。
麻痺性貝毒為海洋中有毒藻類產生，經由海洋中之生物如貝類等攝入後蓄積於該動物體內，如經人類食入，即可能出現中毒症狀，嚴重者會致死。食藥署建議，民眾應避免食用來路不明的水產品。有關麻痺性貝毒相關資料請參考食藥署防治食品中毒專區，連結http://www.fda.gov.tw/TC/siteContent.aspx?sid=1950。
