每一聲電鈴響起，都是點燃獨老希望的一次機會，但在這聲電鈴的背後，更多的是志工們的忐忑，「老人家今天是否吃得正常？是否一切平安？」台灣高齡化現象日益嚴重，獨居老人也成了現今必須深入探討的議題。台灣70年知名藥廠中化製藥攜手中化合成，秉持集團創辦人造福群眾健康的理念，致力於關懷弱勢團體，從去年開始積極參與樹林獨居老人送餐的公益活動，至今已經送出將近13,000個餐盒，而這每一個餐盒，都承載著對長者的關愛。
中化製藥與中化合成有感於獨居老人對社會連結的需要，在積極請益樹林區公所後，攜手新北市中小企業協會所發起的「樹林獨老送餐活動」，由中化集團的同仁組成志工隊伍，堅守在送餐的第一線，他們不僅僅是遞送餐盒，更是獨居老人心靈的陪伴者。中化合成呂坤鴻副理從去年就參與獨老送餐擔任志工，他感性地表示「每次送餐看到長者們笑容、聽到他們的感謝，那一刻，我感受到自己的付出不僅僅是送去一份餐點，更是傳遞了一份愛心，同時也讓自己感受到生命的價值。」而長者們的笑容與渴望眼神，都能轉化為志工們無私奉獻的動力，同時也是驅動這項公益活動不斷延續的力量。
而在活動推進的過程中，中化企業也獲得了其他企業的響應。忠寬實業創辦人王昱蓁女士及Efay寬淂有限公司王寧董事長深受中化企業的善舉感動，共同捐贈近百套不銹鋼環保餐盒，替代原本使用的紙餐盒，讓長輩們吃得健康又安心，這不僅展現了企業間攜手共襄盛舉的精神，也進一步體現了環保永續的理念，為地球多留一棵樹、貢獻一份減碳的力量。
中化企業以「擁抱生命 Embrace Life」為主題，將公益深入社區，關懷獨居老人與隔代教養家庭，並通過與地方機構的密切合作，引導獨居老人走出家門，在社區中找到情感歸屬。不僅如此，中化將關懷更升級，今年新增了健康關懷訪視，由專業護理師與志工們在送餐時為長者進行體溫、血壓測量，並提供健康衛教。未來，中化將繼續秉持創辦人的理念，持續關懷社區中的每一位獨居老人，並以實際行動傳遞社會關愛，締造一個更加溫暖、有愛的社會。
