關於11月4日食藥署公告有關忠信國際開發事業有限公司平行輸入日本龜甲萬公司製造之KIKKOMAN減鹽醬油450ml，有防腐劑超標不符合台灣法規，需在邊境退運或銷毀，統萬股份有限公司聲明如下：
1.在台灣生產的全系列龜甲萬醬油是由統萬(股)公司在台灣台南新市廠所生產的商品，完全不添加防腐劑，品質符合台灣食品安全衛生法規，台灣製其標籤為全中文標示。
2.本次邊境檢查未合格品KIKKOMAN減鹽醬油450ml在日本為合法販售之商品，其配方及成分均符合日本當地食品法規。惟該品並非經由正式貿易商進口至台灣，導致此次事件發生。本產品配方中含有防腐劑雙十二烷基硫酸硫胺明，該成分在日本與台灣皆屬合法使用。然而，因台灣及日本兩地法規對其使用規範不同，台灣限制用量為01g/kg，本次邊境檢驗結果為 0.04g/kg，超出台灣規定，因此需邊境退運或銷毀。
3.不論是台灣本地生產或是我們從日本龜甲萬進口的商品，我們對消費者品質、安全、安心的約定及信賴的約定，仍秉持一貫的堅持。我們將持續嚴守法律規範，並提供讓顧客容易理解而適切的資訊，以回饋顧客對我們的信賴。
