寒流一波波來襲，不僅心血管疾病風險增加，耳鼻喉科醫師與聽力師也同步示警：天冷，「耳朵其實也會中風」！一名 48 歲上班族，一早起床發現右耳「像被關掉一樣」突然聽不到，並伴隨惱人的嗡嗡耳鳴聲。他以為只是感冒或洗澡耳朵進水，硬撐至傍晚才驚覺不對勁就醫。經醫師診斷後發現為右耳重度「突發性感音神經性聽力損失」，俗稱耳中風，所幸發現不算太晚，經藥物治療及依照醫囑，由中華民國聽力師公會全國聯合會秘書長暨科林助聽器資深聽力師蔡鋕鑫進行聽覺輔助器使用評估，輔以聽力輔具介入，聽力已獲得改善。
耳中風年輕化 當心72小時黃金治療期
不少民眾只注意手腳冰冷、血壓波動，卻忽略了耳朵這個看不見、卻極度依賴血液循環的器官。資深聽力師蔡鋕鑫指出，冬季是「突發性聽力損失」，也就是俗稱「耳中風」的好發期，尤其在氣溫驟降的清晨與夜晚，更容易悄悄發生。
內耳結構的供血來源是一條極為細小的「迷路動脈」，與心臟、腦部不同的是，它幾乎沒有備援血管。一旦血流因低溫而收縮、血液黏稠度上升，內耳便可能在短時間內出現缺血狀況。臨床上常見，患者在天冷時突然發現聽力明顯下降、耳鳴加劇，甚至伴隨悶塞感或暈眩，卻誤以為只是感冒、耳屎或壓力大，選擇再觀察幾天。事實上，國內外醫學文獻皆指出，突發性聽力損失本質上是一種「內耳缺血性病變」，若未在72小時黃金治療期內處理，聽力可能難以完全恢復。
「很多人以為中風只會發生在腦，其實內耳同樣怕缺血。」資深聽力師蔡鋕鑫表示，近年耳中風患者已有年輕化趨勢，35至 55 歲的上班族、高壓族群並不少見。天冷本就會讓血管收縮，若再加上熬夜、壓力大、咖啡因或抽菸等因素，更容易讓內耳的微血管發生狀況。
天冷時注重聽力健康 出現異常應儘速就醫，平時應注重聽力保健
耳中風的判斷不能只靠感覺，「是否真的聽不到，必須透過專業聽力檢測才能確認。」若民眾出現明顯聽力下降或懷疑耳中風情況，建議儘速就醫，經由醫師診斷並安排專業聽力檢測。若經醫師診斷後，有使用聽力輔具之需要，民眾可尋求合格管道進行後續選配諮詢。選擇輔具時，應注意服務提供者之人員專業資格與售後服務。
「耳中風不是等等看就會好，越早發現，越有機會保住聽力。」蔡鋕鑫呼籲，寒流來襲時，除了注意保暖、控制三高與規律作息，也別忘了傾聽自己耳朵的聲音。畢竟，聽得清楚，才不會錯過生活中真正重要的聲音。
